Type of Service:  Day Tour from Sorrento to Capri/Anacapri – private tour

Witness for yourself the beauty of the unspoiled island of Capri in just one day. Let us take you on an unforgettable day trip to the island aboard a jetfoil boat accompanied by your expert guide. The picturesque Island of Capri is located in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the Sorrentine Peninsula. It’s on the south side of the Gulf of Naples, in southern Italy’s spectacular Campania region.

Blue skies and turquoise water, breathtaking views, couture shops and cafés characterize this bit of paradise. Tours of Capri will take you to this oasis for artists, writers and celebrities. In their day, Roman Emperors walked along Capri’s pristine shores.

Meet your English-speaking guide at the Sorrento Marina and by jetfoil you will reach Capri main port, Marina Grande. Bustling with arriving ships, this is the main point of entry to the island. The view is lovely, as are the many sailing vessels moored at the pier.

Weather permitting, we will catch a convertible car for an open-air ride to our first destination, Anacapri. You will take a scenic travel route, including the thrilling Mamma Mia Road.

Then it’s just a short chairlift to Monte Solaro. The highest and most panoramic view point on the island, Mount Solaro rises 589 meters above sea level.
You will marvel at views of the famed Penninsula of Sorrento, Mt. Vesuvius, the Gulf of Naples and the islands of Ischia and Procida. The coastal headlands, vineyards, villas and the Capri town center complete the stunning vista.

Also interesting in Anacapri is the Villa San Michele, built by Swedish writer and doctor Axel Munthe, full of gardens, relics and art. Next is some shopping time and lunch.

After lunch, you will visit the main town of Capri, and La Piazzetta. Known locally as the Chiazza, this is where the beautiful people are followed by the paparazzi. Shop windows glitter with the latest fashions and cafés spill out onto the pavement in a festive crowd of wining and dining. The Augustus Gardens are next on the tour. In the 1900s this botanical estate was the vacation home of steel magnate Friedrich Alfred Krupp. Explore the unique flora of Capri in this island garden. It is from here that we will look down upon the renowned Faraglioni limestone sea stacks.
These imposing rock formations rise from the blue Mediterranean and are one of Capri’s best-known landmarks.

Afterwards, you will have free time to explore, shop, and grab a beverage at a local cafe.

Sorrento is a pretty town near Naples and is one of the most requested summer resorts. It’s very well organized for tourism and is situated a short distance from many others tourist attractions. Type of Service: Heart of Naples Stroll with Local Street Food Tastings

Explore Naples’ UNESCO Recognized Historic Center

Meet your local expert guide and intimate group of just 10 people or fewer in the heart of Naples before embarking on this mind and palate-opening experience. You’ll then be off to sample some of the most delectable flavors and sought after culinary delights that Italy has to offer at authentic, hand-picked food vendors that will allow you to mingle with the Neapolitans themselves.

A Stroll to Make Your Stomach Roar - All along your evening stroll, your guide will fill you with the urban legends and history that make Naples come to life, as you dine on delectable examples of the city’s famed street food. If you thought you knew pizza, think again. Naples is home to so many original varieties that you’ll have a hard time choosing. Then pass to the savory ‘pagnutiello, ‘cuoppo’, or ‘cup’, due to the paper cone it is served in, or the ‘cuppetiello’, another succulent version that will make your mouth water.

If you have a sweet tooth, then you’re definitely in the right place, too! Naples is home to some of the best and most famous pastries in the world with such delicious creations as scrumptious ‘sfogliatelle’, rich ‘Baba’ soaked in rum or the epicurean ‘zeppole’, filled with custard, jelly or cream. Your journey will take you through narrow, picturesque alleys as they open onto elegant piazzas.

Naples from the Inside Out - Pass from Piazza del Gesù, with the splendid Spanish-style Baroque Church of Gesù Nuovo and an incredibly sculpted monument dedicated to the Holy Virgin. Visit the ancient heart of the city along Spaccanapoli, one of its oldest streets, dividing it in half. See San Gregorio Armeno, famous for its Christmas market and where the most beautiful Nativity scene figures you have ever seen are sold year-round by sculptors that rival Michelangelo and Bernini.

You’ll also pass the Naples Cathedral, where every year on September 19th the blood of its patron saint, San Gennaro, miraculously reliquifies in a procession that animates the entire city. Then it’s on to other scenic streets, like Via dei Tribunali and finally into Piazza Dante, the city’s former market square, where your tour will end and it will be easy to catch a taxi or the metro back to your hotel.

Discover Pompeii and the still-active volcano that brought the bustling Roman city to its terrible end on this exclusive day trip from Rome to Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius. Explore the city of Pompeii with an expert, English-speaking guide who will help you make the most of your time here. In 1.5 hours, you’ll see the most fascinating sites of the city, from plaster death casts to Pompeii’s fast food joints and streets cut out by carriage wheels 2,000 years ago. Visiting on a day trip, it’s impossible to walk all of Pompeii, but our carefully-planned route means you’ll see the best of it, with the most representative and well-preserved buildings it has to offer.

During our time in Pompeii group sizes will be limited to 25 people or less with headsets for every visitor, so your guide will be easy to hear and interact with. Like all tour operators, we use official, licensed Pompeii guides for this section of our tour. However, as is the case with our own staff, these guides are carefully chosen by us. We constantly evaluate Pompeii guides and ask for feedback from every customer to ensure that we only use the most talented and knowledgeable in their pool.

Another high point of our tour comes when we climb to the ridge of the crater of Mt. Vesuvius. This destructive force, which buried Pompeii in 79 AD, is to this day considered one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world because of the 3,000,000 people who live around its base. Lava flows have scarred the sides of the volcano and are visible on the winding road up to the top – where you will take in incredible views over the Bay of Naples and its islands below.

During the winter season (November 20th - March 31st) and on days when Mt. Vesuvius is closed due to weather conditions, your tour of the past will take you to the National Archaeological Museum of Naples instead. Here you’ll see a fantastic array of artifacts, mosaics, statues and artwork excavated from Pompeii and Herculaneum – the perfect way to complement a visit to the ruins.

With transport to and from Rome included on a comfortable, air-conditioned coach, an expert, English-speaking tour leader to accompany you for the day and traditional Neapolitan pizza lunch, you won’t have to worry about anything but what you came to see. Take the extra time to reflect on one of Italy’s most fascinating sights – a city buried that was buried for thousands of years before being rediscovered 'frozen' in time.
