Type - Florence Duomo Cathedral Tour with Duomo Skywalk - small group tour

During our Florence Duomo tour you will have the incredible opportunity to discover Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral and to see the city from an exclusive and breathtaking point of view: the Duomo terraces (that are normally not reachable) and Brunelleschi's magnificent Dome.

An exceptional one-of-a-kind experience: a guided viewing of the core of Florence's spiritual soul, the Duomo (Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral), with Brunelleschi's Dome and an exclusive sky-walk on the amazing terraces for an awe-inspiring view!
Meet your dedicated, professional guide, enter the Cathedral easily with priority skip-the-line Duomo Florence tickets, and begin an unforgettable journey into art, spirituality, history and magic.

Built over a period of a century and a half, with input by important artists such as Arnolfo di Cambio, Giotto, Andrea Pisano and Brunelleschi, creator of the cupola, this cathedral, Florence's Duomo, is the city's most iconic landmark. The guide will help you recognize and appreciate the variety of styles visible in the grand echoing interior, so many due to the fact that construction took almost 150 years. He will point out the brilliance of the 44 stained-glass windows, the splendid frescoes by Vasari and Zuccari, the impressive marble choir by Bandinelli and much more.

After viewing the various artworks in the Cathedral you will start your ascent, up a narrow staircase used for centuries, and along open corridors. The climb will be more than worth it: the terraces, 32 meters (105 ft) high, are generally closed to the public, but they will be open for your group.

Reach the top and feel the unique privilege of being "in the sky". Lose yourself in the astonishing panorama of red-tiled rooftops, elegant towers, busy streets and piazzas below, and the cypress-clad hillside in the distance. As you gaze at the city's most spectacular view your guide will tell you about Brunelleschi's astonishing genius and creative talent. How he used vaults that allowed the building of the Cathedral cupola without scaffolding, and how it still stands today, a dominating presence admired worldwide, apparently defiant of age and wear, earthquakes and wars. If after the terrace sky-walk, you are still willing to climb, you may use your fast-track Florence duomo tickets to go up to the very top of Brunelleschi's dome: 91 meters (300 ft.) high it offers yet more unforgettable views onto the "cradle of the Renaissance".

The cost of the Duomo Florence tour also includes access to the Baptistery, the Opera del Duomo Museum and the Bell Tower: your ticket is valid for any or all of these monuments within 72 hours from your entrance to the Duomo.

IMPORTANT: please note that there is a dress code for entrance to places of worship and some museums: no shorts or sleeveless tops are allowed, knees and shoulders must be covered for both men and women. Persons not complying with the dress code requirements will be refused entrance.

Type - Cinque Terre & Portovenere Day Trip from Florence - small group tour

Embark on an incredible journey to experience some of Italy's most breathtaking scenery. The tour from Florence will pack your day with an authentic taste of the Italian Riviera, where small maritime villages huddle near the sea and cling to the rocks in unbroken harmony with nature. It is no wonder why this area's history and traditions have been awarded the status of World Heritage Site by UNESCO and inspired artists, writers, and visitors to absorb its delightful atmosphere.

The day begins with a short 2-hour ride on a comfortable private coach from Florence to La Spezia during which one of our top guides will provide captivating commentary on local points of interest as you pass from the region of Tuscany to Liguria. You will spot the massive Carrara marble quarries where Michelangelo used to go, and learn how the rocky Ligurian coast was settled over the centuries due to the hard work of its inhabitants.

The first ferry will take you across the 'Gulf of Poets' to the enchanting seaside town of Portovenere, famous for its tall pastel-colored houses and evocative views from the ruins of Doria Castle, where you will have free time to explore. See why this impressive landscape was so admired by Petrarch, Shelley, Byron, and Montale whose musings immortalized it, and be sure to try the regional specialty – pesto – where it was invented.

From here you will embark on a mesmerizing hour-long cruise up the coastline to the Cinque Terre, where the landscape is dominated by dramatic green hills that plummet into crystalline waters.

As the last signs of civilization begin to fade away you will begin to spot the vivid colors of the little towns overlooking the seashore: Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso, the latter of which is our second stop.

Enjoy a pleasant break from the tour to try local flavors, such as the gluten-free chickpea flour farinata, or mussels with Cinque Terre DOC white wine and explore its little alleys. There is also an optional hike to the Capuchin Monastery on a summit that stands over beautiful rooftops, terraced vineyards and the sea. Beach lovers will want to make sure to bring their swimsuit, as the sand and emerald water will beckon.

Now it's 'all aboard' as you are taken by train to Manarola, characterized by its colorful boat-filled harbor and vibrant nature. Once again, you'll be able to discover the area on your own and even one final aperitivo to bid farewell to this extraordinary place in the rays of the waning sun.

Don't be surprised if you ask yourself as you head back to the railway station, reach the bus and return to Florence just how this dream came to be. Pinch yourself and remember that memories last a lifetime.

Type - Best of Florence & Uffizi Gallery Tour - small group tour

With so much incredible art, history, and architecture, seeing all that Florence has to offer can be a challenge. We take the trouble out of your visit by covering the best parts of Florence in half day with an expert, English-speaking guide to lead you around the city. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of the sights and stories that make Florence a must-see on any trip to Italy.

The Accademia Gallery is our first stop for one of Florence’s many show-stoppers. Skip the long lines here with a pre-reserved entry time and prepare to be amazed. Housed in a bright open space beneath a roof that had to be raised to accommodate him, is Michelangelo’s great sculptural masterpiece, ‘David’.

Your guide will help you admire him from every angle, all the while explaining the techniques that Michelangelo used to make marble look as soft as butter. We’ll also take some time to examine his unfinished ‘Slaves’. Rising from the rock piece by piece, these sculptures offer incredible insight into how the great master worked – and just how much work it took to create a sculpture to this level of perfection.

We’ll also take some time to visit the crown jewel of Florence, Il Duomo, from outside. Known for its huge red dome (visible from all over the city), Florence Cathedral is a sight to behold. Your guide will tell you about Brunelleschi’s feat in creating such a marvel and the challenges he faced along the way.

The entrance to the Duomo is free and you can visit independently if you wish, as the guide provided you with a full explanation of it's inside and outside features.

Your expert guide will lead you around Piazza Signoria where you’ll hear the stories behind the beautiful sculptures and see the place where Michelangelo’s ‘David’ once stood.

In keeping with our promise to see all of Florence in a day, we’ll take a break for lunch (not included) then regroup, energized for the final leg of our day. Skip-the-Line Access at the Uffizi Gallery saves us hours wasted in line to enter instantly.

Navigating all of this immense gallery would take days, so we’ve crafted the perfect route to visit all the highlights of the Uffizi collection and a few lesser-known gems. This section of the tour is limited to just 14 people so it is easier for you to hear and interact with your expert guide. They will introduce you to works by Giotto, Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli, Perugino, Michelangelo, Titian and Vasari and will be able to answer any questions you have about them.

Whether you're stopping in Florence for a day, or plan to use it as a base from which to explore Tuscany, this tour will paint the perfect portrait of its unique art, architecture, and history, ensuring that you leave an aficionado of all of the above.

Type - Delicious Florence Food Tour with Local Wine & Florentine Steak

Do you want the best type of steak on Earth? Are you interested in bottles of wine that are centuries old? Do you want to hang out with our super friendly expert guide as they bring you to some of Florence’s best shops and restaurants? If you answered yes, this is the perfect way to spend an evening in Florence. This 3 hour Florence food tour includes:

- Four tasting stops and plenty of Tuscan wine

  • - A sit-down traditional dinner with Florentine steak and pasta
  • - A friendly and local English-speaking foodie guide
  • - A maximum group size of 14 people

Your food tour in Florence starts in Piazza della Signoria, Florence's outdoor art gallery. Meet your food-loving tour guide and get a brief introduction to this important piazza that has been the center of political life in Florence since the 14th century.

On your first foodie stop of the night, try out some aperitivo favorites. From the piazza, you'll walk to a street lined by panino shops, specializing in delicious local meats and cheeses. At an authentic local spot, try out some Tuscan cuisine such as bruschetta al pomodoro, ribollita, prosciutto, salame and more.  Wash it all down with some delicious wine and continue on your foodie journey.

Ponte Vecchio means “old bridge” in Italian. Shops have lined the famed Ponte Vecchio since the 13th century. Originally, there were many types of shops, including fishmongers, butchers and tanners. These shops caused such a great stench in the area, that in 1593 Ferdinand I proclaimed that only jewelers were allowed to set up shop on the bridge. Don’t worry, great food is still to be found in the areas around the bridge.

Run by the same family for decades, we will visit a wine shop with so much history that is said to date back to the 13th century. As you walk down into the cantina you will see what look to be windows. In fact these are windows from when the city sat many feet lower than the streets today. You will taste amazing wines paired with incredible olive oil and truffles all produced by the family. It is an absolute gem that has thrived for centuries in Florence.

Sit down in a historical tavern and enjoy an outstanding evening meal starting with the traditional Tuscan pasta, Spaghetti alla carrettiera. For the star of dinner, next you’ll taste the local delicacy bistecca alla Fiorentina (Florentine Steak). Florence is famous around the world for this delightfully savory and rare meat that many will swear is the best steak period. While it might seem undercooked, Florentine steak is cooked to perfection. The quality of the cut of meat is unmatched, delicious, and will melt in your mouth

As much as we love gelato, on this tour we will bring you to the dessert that Florentines eat. You will get to try cantucci and vin santo from our favorite place in the city. Cantucci are what in America they’d call biscotti. In Italian, the word biscotti simply means “cookies”. These cantucci are so good on their own, but rise to an immaculate level when dipped in vin santo or “holy wine”. These cookies made by a wonderful nonna who has been baking them for 60 years are the ultimate way to end our evening together in Florence.
